Our thoughts determine our responses to others and to perceived
situations
• Our perceptions are often passed on to us from our families
and are created by our family, culture and experience
• Our perceptions influence our emotions
• Our perceptions trigger chemico-neurological responses
• Physical response can trigger action
• We will learn an approach that helps us make our responses
appropriately match our situations
• We will learn to tell the difference between a garden
hose and a snake
